Supply Chain Project Manager
You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific short-term projects which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverable. Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Project Manager include working on projects in the areas of supply chain management, business process outsourcing, and technology. The Supply Chain Project Manager will serve as an internal consultant primarily to the Group Supply Chain Director, assisting the Supply Chain Teams in identifying and prioritizing opportunities to solidify our business process and improve system-wide performance, as well as leveraging technical and personal skills to remove barriers and bring projects to completion. Projects will include support for Supply Chain corporate initiatives, both domestically (UAE) and globally (the USA and other regions). Collaboration with other members of the supply chain team, sales, customer service, finance and manufacturing ops is key to achieve these objectives.
Primary responsibilities: Delivering recommendations or analyses covering new projects and/or large-scale process changes • Presentations and documents built using data and applied expertise • Assisting with implementation of recommendations, tracking complex cross-functional efforts • Create related project plans and other project management related documents • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques • Analyzing data and creating deliverables for the project • Maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members. • Expanding proprietary Supply chain technology (SCV – Supply Chain Visibility), across the organization. • Participate in procurement process involved in projects including developing RFI/RFP, developing strategy and approach for scoring/evaluation, drive selection process, participate contract negotiation, and successful vendor relationship management and communication. • Ensure project change management processes and procedures are followed. • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors (whenever applicable) for the flawless execution of projects • Ensure resource availability and allocation • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques • Project contingency planning through risk identification, prioritization and response planning. • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and within budget • Assists and supports organizational change management. • Report and escalate to management as needed • Additional assignments as a business need demands. • High amount of autonomy, and will require demanding work hours at times.
