Senior FM Estimator – Dammam, Saudi Arabia

About this opportunity: An excellent opportunity for a skilled Estimation Engineer to take ownership of site assessments, cost build-ups, and tender pricing for FM maintenance, fit-out, retrofit, and minor works projects in Dammam. You will play a central role in developing competitive, compliant bids that help secure and deliver successful facilities management contracts.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead the full estimation cycle for facilities management projects, from detailed site surveys through to final tender submission. You will work closely with procurement, operations, and technical teams to prepare accurate BOQs, cost models, and pricing schedules across labour, materials, tools, and overheads. You will support bid reviews, negotiations, and project handovers, ensuring estimates are clearly communicated and aligned with operational delivery. You will also help ensure all submissions comply with safety, quality, and industry standards while remaining competitive and commercially sound.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Conduct detailed site surveys to capture accurate scope, quantities, and technical requirements for FM maintenance, fit-out, retrofit, and minor works projects.
• Prepare clear and comprehensive BOQs, pricing schedules, and supporting documentation for tenders and proposals.
• Develop robust cost models covering labour, materials, tools, equipment, subcontractors, and overheads to ensure accurate pricing.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, operations, and technical teams to validate assumptions, obtain quotations, and align estimates with delivery capabilities.
• Support tender reviews, clarifications, and negotiations by providing detailed breakdowns, justifications, and value engineering options where required.
• Participate in project handovers, ensuring all cost and scope assumptions are clearly communicated to operations and project teams.
• Ensure all estimates comply with client specifications, safety and quality standards, and relevant industry norms while remaining commercially competitive.
• Maintain and update cost databases, rate libraries, and historical data to continually improve pricing accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in FM estimating, preferably within facilities management, engineering, or construction environments.
• Proven experience in BOQ preparation, cost modeling, tender pricing, and conducting site surveys for FM-related projects.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, and MS Project (or similar tools) for quantity take-offs, planning, and cost analysis.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams under tender deadlines.

Certifications (Desirable)

• Relevant professional certifications in estimation, facilities management, or engineering (preferred but not mandatory).
• Membership in a recognized engineering, FM, or project management professional body is an advantage.

Salary & Role Details

• Salary / Compensation: SR 5,800–6,300 (final offer will be in line with experience and client guidelines).
• Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia (primarily site-based role within facilities management projects).
• Employment Type: Full time.
