About the Role
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end commercial strategy for an events services organization, owning revenue targets and business growth across key portfolios. You will design and implement a comprehensive commercial plan, expanding existing accounts while acquiring new clients across target sectors. Acting as a senior relationship owner, you will partner closely with high-value clients to understand their needs and shape tailored, innovative event solutions. You will also manage and develop the sales team, set clear objectives, and collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance to ensure seamless execution and strong financial outcomes. Your insight into market trends, customer preferences, and competitor dynamics will guide strategic decisions and future growth.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets within the events industry.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding existing client accounts and acquiring new clients across priority markets and sectors.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their objectives and providing innovative, value-adding event solutions.
- Lead, manage, and coach the sales team, setting clear targets, providing guidance, and fostering a high-performance, results-driven culture.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and new areas for commercial growth.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure effective execution of commercial strategies and seamless event delivery.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions aligned with company objectives and profitability targets.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, prepare regular reports, and present insights, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
- Stay current with industry developments by attending conferences and networking events, and actively participating in relevant professional associations.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development within the commercial team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Marketing, Sales, or a similar discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles, with significant experience in the events or related service industries.
- Proven track record in developing and executing commercial strategy, delivering revenue growth, and managing complex sales cycles.
- Strong expertise in business development, client relationship management, team management, stakeholder management, market research, and competitor analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate sales teams, set clear KPIs, and drive a performance-led culture.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior-level clients and internal stakeholders.
Certifications (Desirable)
- Professional certifications in sales, key account management, or business development.
- Any recognized leadership or management development qualification.
Salary & Role Details

Salary / Compensation: Up to AED 50,000 per month, depending on experience and profile.
