About the Role

In this role, you will work as an Electromechanics Technician focused on heavy commercial vehicles, handling both mechanical and electrical systems. You will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance in the workshop and in the field, attending breakdowns and providing on-site service when required. You will troubleshoot issues across engines, drivetrains, braking systems, and vehicle electricals, ensuring work is completed to manufacturer standards and safety guidelines. You will coordinate closely with service advisors, supervisors, and parts teams to deliver timely, high-quality technical support for fleet and customer vehicles.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Carry out mechanical and electrical diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles in line with manufacturer standards.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns and field service calls, performing on-site fault finding and repairs to minimise downtime for customers.
• Inspect, service, and repair key systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, electrical wiring, lighting, and control modules.
• Use appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes of mechanical and electrical issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately, ensuring all work performed is properly documented.
• Coordinate with service advisors, supervisors, and parts departments to ensure the correct parts, tools, and information are available for each job.
• Follow all HSE procedures and company policies while working in the workshop and on customer sites, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Provide clear, professional updates to customers and internal stakeholders regarding vehicle status, issues identified, and work completed.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI or Diploma in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5–6 years of experience as a heavy vehicle technician covering both mechanicals and electricals, including breakdowns and field service (UAE/GCC experience preferred).
• Proven hands-on experience working as a mechanic on heavy commercial vehicles and attending breakdowns/field service assignments.
• Strong understanding of heavy vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques for both mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and respond quickly to urgent service requests.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude, with the ability to represent the brand professionally on-site.

Certifications (Desirable)

• OEM or dealership training on heavy commercial vehicles or related systems.
• Additional certifications in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, or HSE are an advantage.

Salary & Role Details

• Salary / Compensation: AED 4,000–5,000 per month, depending on experience and profile.
• Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (workshop- and field-based; specific working areas to be discussed during the interview process).
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Working Conditions / Schedule: Standard full-time schedule with flexibility required for breakdowns, emergency call-outs, and occasional extended hours or weekends as needed.
• Other Details: Role focused on heavy vehicle electromechanics, including workshop repairs and field service/breakdown support within a motor vehicle manufacturing/service environment.
